The Cheerful Tortoise has been a sponsor of Portland State University Athletics for over 50 years. Our goal is to provide a Cheerful environment for everyone to enjoy.  Well, let us give you a brief background of our humble beginnings. The original Tortoise has been around for more than 60 years.  Our main goal as a company is to be the best sports bar and late night Karaoke bar in Portland.
Apart from wanting to provide our clients with the best sports bar experience, we are also known as the Best Wings Bar in Portland. Of course, we don’t expect you to believe it so we challenge you to head down the Cheerful Tortoise and try it out yourself!  We guarantee that you’ll order a second, a third or even until the fourth set! While you enjoy our wings, pair it up with the draft beers that we have or the different liquors that we have available. Definitely, the best night ever, especially if you are with your friends.
We serve the Downtown Portland area so if you are just within our neighborhood and would like to share a drink with a friend or a stranger who loves to watch the game like you do, the Cheerful Tortoise is the place to be. We are open from Mondays to Fridays, 7 am to 2:30 am and Saturdays & Sunday 9am to 2:30am.
